This Clifton 3 Plane Blade is constructed from specially cryogenically treated 01 steel which has been hardened and tempered to 60 62 Rockwell C and finally precision ground. The cryogenic process creates an edge which stays sharper for longer than most plane irons. Each blade is individually checked for hardness. The blade iron has been embossed with the
