Circa 1890s Antique Staffordshire Navy Blue Black Transferware Plate Rural Scenes Farm Cows Pigs George Jones Limoges The pplate and saucer areBLUE TRANSFER WARE PLATE Here is one of my favorite patterns ever Farm produced in the mid 1800's and later as Rural Scenes or Pastoral Davenport by Royal Staffordshire. The scene depicts a farm with cattle grazing in the yard, pigs in the foreground and a boy feeding chickens. There is a huge thatched English birdhouse to the left and a covered bard with hay in the back, closer to the house. The border is a unique and beautiful blend of scrolls,
