In Joe Meek's last months, he produced some of his best, hard edged mod and proto psychedelic records like this one. But still he clung on to the name of the Tornados, like a touchstone, reminding him of his greatest success with the 1962 hit single Telstar. This Tornados in 1966 was very different to the original line up, based around an entirely different group called the Saxons, and had an entirely
