Clients

Step on Board is a full-service board placement programme, supporting employees to volunteer as non-exec directors and trustees of charities and voluntary organisations.

We have worked with 25 organisations and in some cases, we continue to work with our first ever clients. Organisations that we support include some of the world’s largest global businesses in industries including financial services, management consulting, technology, legal services, accounting, and private equity. We have also worked with a major UK government department, an arm’s length body and broadcaster. Of course, we also work with individuals who attend our Open Programme.

Our clients come to us for different things. These might include:

  • Talent development
  • Partner transition
  • Fulfilment of CSR/ESG goals
  • Improving staff engagement

The programme is designed as an innovative, cost-effective and sustainable approach to employee professional development, taking employees beyond the traditional avenues of leadership training and formal management education. This comprehensive and tailored programme provides employees with training, skills-matching and coaching, to make a success of their trusteeship.

Please see our case studies for examples of the work we have done.

“Mishcon de Reya has used the Step on Board programme to place our staff into trustee positions for a number of years.  This has proved incredibly successful because of the support that is provided, working with people on an individual basis and finding a trustee position that they are passionate about.  I cannot recommend this programme enough.”
